We are an independent Bible Church.
When do you meet?
We meet for worship every Sunday morning at 10:30 a.m. Our children also have Sunday School classes at 10:30 a.m. We have an adult Sunday School class that meets at at 9:30 a.m.
Where is your church?
We are located 2 miles south of Cissna Park, Illinois on route 49. We’re on the hill!
How long has Christian Bible Church existed?
The church started in 1970.
How does membership work at your church?
We do not have formal church membership.
How big is your church?
We have about 65-75 attendees on the average Sunday.
How does baptism work at your church?
We practice believer’s baptism. Anyone who professes faith in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, and who wishes to be baptized is invited to discuss this with the pastor.
How does communion work at your church?
We have communion six times a year and practice open communion, which is available to anyone who believes in Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior.
What do you have for children?
We have youth/children’s Sunday School which presently meets during the church service. We also have nursery care for babies and infants.
What should I wear if I attend a service?
We have no dress code. There’s a range of styles of dress from business casual to causal.
How long does your church service last?
Our church service usually lasts about an hour.
What Bible translation do you use?
We teach and preach from the English Standard Version.
Do you take up an offering in your church services?
For people who wish to give, we have an offering box in the back of the sanctuary, however we don’t pass a collection plate, or require our attenders give. For people who wish to support the church, these gifts and donations are always welcome and appreciated.
